Sounds like a compromise that will both please and horrify liturgical traditionalists and liberals all at once. 😉

He, he, I see what you did there . . .

The answer to the question is that no one has begun to suggest this, America is waking up to some of its historical evil, and this post should not have been made. This should be a fun thread. There are other threads on statue removal where political statements belong.

I like what my priest said about Lenten practices like giving up candy. It doesn’t stop all of your sins. But little acts of discipline strengthen you to face greater temptation, sort of like working out to prepare for a marathon.

I disagree with all that you say on this p newton.
This meme is quite relevant and I shared it with many.
Domestic terrorism on Catholic statues has already happened in very recent times.
Think of the damage done to some in CA …St. Junipero.

It’s a shame we can’t just laugh sometimes without the propaganda and senseless fear-mongering.

Can there be no refuge from political discussion? Is that really to much to ask? If not, then at least the next political meme should be funny and not some slippery slope logic fallacy. To answer the question, one of the two who posted it would have to say where the picture was taken. Is it even in the United States? Is it at a Church. Is it on public property? The question is senseless without context and some antecedent to the pronoun “these,” not that meme posters are known for their grammar. Note also the missing question mark.
