I am not a Catholic but…I just wanted to say that I appreciate the Catholic Church’s (magisterum’s) unwavering teachings upholding strong Chrsitian morality without compromise. That’s just somthing i have noticed recently.

Peace and God bless,

I was brought up in a secular home, never went to church, and fancied myself to be agnostic.

However, I remember when I was in college I had a philosophy professor who claimed to be an atheist. One class we were discussing life/death issues and I remember him stating that one thing had to admit was that only the teachings of the Catholic Church are consistent on this issue, and how much respect he had for that.

This was one of many things that encouraged me do dig deeper into Catholic teachings and I ended up coming home almost 10 years ago. I encourage you to keep digging.

I think that this is what makes a lot of people stronger in their faith and what brings a lot of people back to the Catholic church. Listening to a lot of different conversion stories and apologists talk, they refer to this unwavering of the Church’s teachings as one of the strongest things that kept them in/brought them back to the faith.

And that’s quite a bit now days, isn’t it? :yup:

The next question you should explore is: “Why is the Catholic Church unwavering in its teachings on morality?”

I can promise you it will really be an eye-opener! 🙂

servus - what a remarkable sign revealed to you

agree with Mirror Mirror

I’ve been a cradle Catholic, strayed Catholic, fallen away Catholic, found Catholic, struggling Catholic, and now reinvigorated by the very thoughts you mention. The truth has always been there and always will be and we can take great comfort in that knowledge.

It has comforted me many times on my sometimes turbulent faith journey.

Keep your lamps trimmed and burning…
