Let’s compile a list of Catholic movies on streaming services. Write down movies/a movie, which service(s) it/they can be found on, followed by a description.

The Jewish Cardinal; Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video; The movie does a great job of portraying the life of Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, a convert from Judaism. It touches on anti-Semitism in some Catholic circles, anti-Catholicism in some Jewish circles, Saint John Paul the Second’s relationship with the Cardinal, the Holocaust, the Sacrament of Confession, sedevacantism and a shepherd leading his sheep to Christ.

It also shows the personality of the man, who was at times ill-tempered and brash, but also rode a moped as a diocesan priest.

I myself see it as an amazing and historically accurate movie, depicting the life of one of Saint JPIIs closest advisers.

You will love this movie. It is a good film and I recommend it to all.

I thought that was a great deal, especially with films at $2.95-$4.95, until I saw the blurb, “YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE TO WATCH THE VIDEO.” that means it’s a one-off thing, more of a rental than a purchase, and extremely expensive as rentals go. So I doubt I will be using this service. I prefer my Netflix Disc-only plan.

Not an endorsement. I’ve found NOOMA to produce good content. The videos I’ve bought are not in conflict with the Church- as far as I know.

Sounds good. I think some of those videos on Ignatius Press are Ignatius Press only. I’m talking about the minor documentaries. I think you can find the movie about St. John Paul II on Netflix. The Mother Teresa movie, I’m not so sure. You also could try emailing Ignatius Press about the possibility of buying digital movies to keep. I think I will.
