I’m sure the fact that its word for word the NIV translation of the Bible would be an issue for Catholics, but has anyone on here seen this? I absolutely love Bruce Marchiano’s portrayal of Jesus in this movie - he shows Christ as being so full of joy… His book about the amazing things God did as they were filming this movie was amazing too. As I am in the process of becoming Catholic I just thought it might help me to hear any Catholic opinions on the movie. Its hard for me to analyise things from a Catholic perspective yet - too many years of Protestantism to overcome. I do notice obvious things of course…
What about other Jesus movies? Which ones did you love and which ones do you hate? I can’t stand Jesus of Nazareth personally because I think it looks like Jesus is stoned throughout the movie
