Hey y’all, I was wondering if anyone had any particular recommendations on philosophers dealing with what the proper purposes of state criminal justice are. I would prefer if they have a Catholic bent.

The best source I have yet to find is the Summa Theologica, since St. Aquinas deals with just about every subject, and so he is basically the only real solid source I can recommend to anyone. So basically, I am wondering which other philosophers have impacted you most in your opinions on how a state justice system should operate.
