Catholic Position on Nag Hammadi Scriptures?

What is the church’s teaching on the Nag Hammadi Scriptures? Are they considered to be authentic?:confused:
 
The Nag Hammadi texts are authentic Gnostic texts, but they are not authentic Scripture. They are the writings of the Gnostic communities and are not considered inspired or orthodox. The texts are useful for telling us what the Gnostic community believed, but the texts have no real use for informing us about the orthodox Christian faith.
