I don’t want to get into more details but there is a foe in my midst so to speak. Is there like an official Catholic prayer against an enemy? I know I’m supposed to pray for them as well, but still is SO hard and goes against my Fundie background (which keeps rearing it’s head despite me doing the rosary and being as Catholic as I can be).

Thanks!

I found that a bit contradictory with the doctrine of forgiveness and love for the enemyes…
but I guess you could pray that this enemy stops threatening you. That not necessarily involve praying that something bad happens to him.

You could use this prayer to St. Michael. after all, he is the patron saint of policeman and soldiers. 😉

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in the day of battle;
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray;
and may the prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God
thrust down to hell Satan and all wicked spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Pray that your enemy receives everything that you want for yourself.

My advice:

Pray the divine mercy chaplet daily for the souls of pergatory and make a small sacrifice every day for them.

Consider the chaplet of st Michael.

That said praying the rosary while visiting the true presence is the best protection there is.

To understand what forces are influencing you and your so-called enemy will raise your mind to seek mercy, healing and forgiveness for both of you. I experienced anger from a boy who took advantage of me. I was tempted to get violent with him and I knew God didn’t want me to fight him. Something within me prevented me from getting violent. For many years I relived the scene, over and over. I could still feel the anger. Then one day I somehow (was inspired,I pleaded with God to help me )put myself in his position, and then I realize what he was suffering, and how I triggered in him this same anger I felt. Then the anger subsided in me, and I realize that I had done him wrong. It was true he had done me wrong at first, but I responded with anger. And he reciprocated Passion and ignorance and the devil are our real enemies.
