Catholic priests dying of AIDS at higher than average rate

Yet another excuse for the mainstream media to push their agenda against celibacy in the priesthood. They say American priests are dying at a rate four times the rate of the general population, but give no statistics for the AIDS rates amongst the general population of homosexuals. If this was supposed to be an indictment of priestly celibacy, it isn’t. It’s an indictment of the sin of homosexual promiscuity. In other words, they didn’t get AIDS from being celibate.
 
umm… the article is eight years old. This isn’t news.

The Kansas City Star later retracted its original estimate of 4x the national AIDS death rate, and dropped it to 2x.

As for the accuracy of the Kansas City Star’s claims, I guess I would want to look at the actual stories it ran. But the KC Star doesn’t make its archive available for free.
 
a story from 2000 hardly qualifies as news, and this series and its poor use of statistics was widely rebutted at the time, and several times since then inluding on this forum

So why is this being circulated as “news”? Especially if the claims are inflated? I need to quit being so naive…😊
