Catholic Radio in Dallas/Fort Worth

I’m not sure where to put this thread. I don’t want to put it in the radio forum because no one will see. On the other hand, the apologists who listen to Catholic radio will see it here.

On Oct 1, it is rumored that the Dallas/Ft Worth area was the lucky beneficary of a new Catholic radio station at 910 AM. For the life of me, I cannot get a signal at any time of day. I live in Arlington and should be able to receive a radio signal from Fort Worth very clearly.

I’m wondering if anyone else in north Texas is able to hear the broadcasts of this new radio station.

I live about 20 miles outside Dallas and am getting it loud and clear during the day on 910 AM. I think they throttle back the wattage in the evenings around after 7 pm because the signal then is quite weak.

I am overjoyed at the arrival of Catholic radio in Dallas, they’re using a lot of EWTN radio programming right now, but will be expanding with more local stuff as they build up. They’ve also established a sister station in Spanish.

I would encourage you to call the Guadalupe radio network if you are having problems. You should be able to get a clear signal at least during the day in Arlington.

I can relate. We still don’t have Catholic Radio here in Houston. It’s been 8 months since Maximilliankolbe Radio went off the air here and it’s been sorely missed.

Hope the Dallas station has a long life. And hopefully, the signal reaches 100 miles south.

This new station is part of Guadalupe Radio Network. I get the impression they are trying to expand throughout Texas. Fort Worth is by far the largest city they are in. It’s very expensive to enter the larger radio markets which means the larger the city is, the longer it may take for them to get Catholic radio.
