Catholic Relief Services... any good?

Is Catholic Relief Services an orthodox and holy organization? I know that there are some ‘Catholic’ charities like the CCHD that end up advocating for abortion and homosexualism, etc. But what about Catholic Relief Services… does anybody here know?

As far as I know your money is safe with them (e.g. it won’t go to promoting sin), but they did upset me when they bought into the anthropogenic climate change propaganda. Then again, so did the bishops and some at the Vatican. Archbishop Timothy Dolan is the chair of the CRS board.

Orthodox and holy? Not as long as one of their missions is to raise money.

Excuse me, but have you ever heard of the corporal works of mercy? That is exactly what CRS does, and it takes money to do it.

Views on climate change have less than nothing to do with whether they do good work and are “orthodox”.

Yes, I have, they do, it does, and that’s why I contribute to them.

Yet, they found it necessary to talk about it in their newsletter and on their website? Hmm. All I’m saying is that they lose some credibility when they unnecessarily engage in spreading the ACC propaganda. When I see things like that, it makes me wonder about the people who run that show and which way they’re trying to head with it.

All that climate change nonsense has nothing to do with the mission of mercy and IF it becomes their mission, my money will dry up, because I don’t want my contributions to go to some lobby for climate change legislation. It’s not like we haven’t seen good causes being infiltrated by the enemy (CCHD money to ACORN et al. comes to mind).

Edit: Just to clarify, they don’t seem to be heading in the wrong direction. In fact, they’re against climate change legislation that hurts the poor, so I don’t want to give the wrong impression.
