I played with dolls at age 11 or so. Why?
Because I had a crush on the girl who owned the dolls, and I wanted to get close to her!
Nowadays I’d be immediately labeled “transgender” in our crazed, God-less society.

The bishop may not be informed, though the diocesan schools department must be. I know there are some some bishops who wouldn’t tolerate this madness.

(And again, non-Catholics have no credibility weighing in on this.)

Because it is a theological issue. Catholic schools are bound to adhere to Catholic theology, not the moral relativism of a God-less contemporary culture that is now firmly in the grip of the prince of lies.

I’ve been reading about a lot of these schools. Turns out they’re Catholic in name only and usually have a handful of liberal school administrators pitching the nonsense.
Exactly. And it usually reaches up to the diocesan level.

forcing boys into a situation where they must get naked in front of a girl or else be penalized,
In this case, the child in question will be using faculty bathrooms and not the normal rest rooms or locker rooms.

This at least has been sorted out in a reasonable way by the school.

St. Paul must be very “hyperbolic,” then, by comparison. And many Church Fathers, Thomas a Kempis, Cardinals Arinze and Sarah, etc. etc.
Not to mention Christ Himself, on numerous occasions.

The solution to what? What is the specific issue that needs a resolution, in your opinion?

let’s come down on the side of compassion.
No…

One does both so-called “sides”

If Active Homosexuality connects with any who ID as part of LGBTQ…
One must never set aside Church Teachings … on the SIN portion…

One should likewise seek counseling.

Yes, there are ex-T’s and ex-Homosexuals

ALL Always, of course with LOVE… MERCY…

I do think we need to be careful to distinguish the specific situation of transgender, for this OP.

We all know (or should) the Church condemns (and does not recognize it as valid) same sex marriage.

So when anyone (for instance this priest and school) claims a gender reassignment, and especially requiring children to comply with one, are they claiming the Church must also recognize a gender identity change from their birth certificate?

This implies the Church would marry a gender changed person with their birth certificate equal gender!

Distinquish between effiminate and same-gender-sex-inclined.

Paul exercises Spiritual Virtues of Mercy in warnings re: grave dangers of active homosex.

The only point of view that matters to me is God’s, revealed in Sacred Scripture and orthodox Catholic teaching. All other points of view are null and void.

Its implying that the Church might assume the false gender. So what would prevent marriage in the Church of “same sex” couples, if they no longer regard them the same gender?
The church’s criteria for marriage need not change - including the requirement that a couple need to be able to perform an act of sexual intercourse per se suitable for procreation.

This is a well thought response. It’s easy to offer an opinion, but often more difficult to try to understand and admit we don’t have all the answers. This is where kindness comes in.

Kindness is accepting this girl into the school and being compassionate about her feelings, emotions, and experiences. Not unlike any other child, but obvious specific to her dilemma.

Bullying, is requiring the rest of school’s children to call her a boy.

If this girl has “feelings of being masculine”, then fine. She doesnt need to have certain stereotypical feelings, or emotions generally conotated with women.

This should not require the rest of the students to accept her as a boy. She is a girl who does not relate to certain girl generalities.

My children’s Catholic school just sent an email stating that one of the middle school girls has decided to become transgender and will return to school as a boy. The principle said that she and the priest discussed the matter with the student’s parents and they are supportive of her decision. She (he) will however use the private restrooms, and will change for PE in there.
Could you post some evidence of this?

Why should she? If she received a letter of email, there is probably stuff on it that would violate a lot of people’s privacy.

It seems rather rude of you to ask for evidence when there is no need for it. The OP is not trying to prove anything here, just asking for thoughts on the issue.

Had the OP been posed as a hypothetical, there’d be no need. But the assertion is that Catholic authorities have done certain things. Have they?

To verify the voracity of the claim it would be very desirable to see the evidence. Noone’s privacy needs to be violated.
