Just wanted to say I’m glad my son is going to a Catholic primary school where he is being taught about the faith, bible stories and liturgy. It’s a lovely school, they prepare regular school liturgies and have school mass. I attended a public school so I’ve always felt I had missed out on the religious aspect of my education.

This Sunday he said something that struck me. When we were driving we saw Father walking on the road carrying a bag, and he said he could be carrying bread for the miracle.

I’ve been thinking about the presence of Christ in the form of bread and wine. It is a miracle that he is present at every Eucharist. He didn’t just live and die on the earth 2000 years. He is with us today.

i couldn’t’ve said it better

i’ve never regretted my decision to send my children to catholic school

My landlord’s oldest … their small rural school is set among utterly glorious mountains. Little one says. “This is the school of nature…”

From the mouth of babes (although your DS isn’t a baby). Great job mom and dad for also living for faith!👍👍👍

I agree - small children say it best. Sometimes they can have connections to spiritual things that we adults don’t always see.

For example - when my kid was 5 we were driving home after Mass. (I was still dating Hubby at this point and the three of us had gone to Mass together.) We had both gone to Communion that day. My kid said to us, “I see Jesus over your heads”.

On another occasion, my kid told me that the first time she ever served at the altar at Mass she saw a shadow of three crosses on the wall during the consecration.
