I do see where whether a school is parochial or regional should be of significance. Not all parishes are large enough to support a school alone, and the regional model is better than no Catholic school. All Catholic schools still operate under the same diocesan guidelines. The teachers I know that get substandard pay are anything but substandard. Quite the opposite. They are extraordinary in their dedication because they are willing to work for less for the sake of passing on the faith to young minds.
