Lifesitenews.com has reported that Casey declared himself opposed to public funding of abortion in the Voter Guide before the 2006 elections. He also indicated during the 2006 campaign that he “supports legal protection for human life from conception.”
“This is sad news for the Democratic Party and the Church,” continues Hudson. “Bob Casey, Jr. had the opportunity to be the Catholic pro-life leader in a political party that desperately needs one.”
Well the people in Pennsylvania were duped again. Just because his father was pro-life did not mean he was.
Cardinal Justin Rigali, archbishop of Philadelphia and chairman of the U.S. Bishops’ Committee for Pro-Life Activities, urged the Senators to preserve both the Mexico City and Kemp-Kasten policies and vote against the amendment.
Catholics that tend to be social in their faith and do not follow Holy Mother Church teachings give us all a “BLACK EYE” just as the priest that abused the children and young men did in their past.
The U.S. Catholic bishops expressed disappointment at the passage of the bill, for which 16 Catholic Senators voted in favor.
Go to the complete site for the names of those that voted to have the American people pay to murder babies.

Thanks for the information.

I tell you, nobody covers these type of stories except the Christian press; not my local fishwrapper newspapers, not the big corporate and network websites; not my local news stations.

Something interesting I heard on the very liberal Netherlands Radio, just a few days ago, is that Holland, one of the most socially liberal societies in the world, actually prohibits by law embryonic stem-cell murder “research.”

Good for them! 👍 Women overseas need to have reproductive freedom just as much as women in America do! 👍

Sorry but your response did not shock me. It is what I would expect from a non-practicing former catholic that is now liberal christian.

It seems that you are an equal opportunity killer of babies.

Yea why should we be the only ones who provoke the wrath of God in butchering our children. Maybe some of the fire from the sky will fall on them instead of us. Good luck. Don"t look up

Instead of whining, why don’t the bisops do something about it? Why are people killing babies allowed to reamin in a “unified, visible” church?

Don’t you just love how politically correct speech makes something as horrrrrrrific as the murder of babies sound as benign as the right to choose when to have a child?

Mothers, murdering their own children, created in the likeness and image of God; that is a false “freedom.”

Unalienable rights are endowed by our Creator; it is not natural that human beings kill and destroy other human beings, even gestating ones, for whatever reason. Even those who don’t believe in God and are atheists are able to understand and appreciate that.

Defend life from conception unto natural death; Defend life; Protect life; life is the greatest good.

It seems to me that by the time an abortion is had reproduction long since taken place.

BTW-i wonder if any others find it ironic that on one hand you ask us to feed the hungry but on the other tell us to kill our children. Perhaps you believe Jonathan Swift was right and we should feed our children to the hungry? That would seem to fit you agenda’s nicely.

These Senators make a mockery of their faith. I’m ashamed to say that two of those Senators are from my home state of Massachusetts and a bunch of others are from the New England area.
Here’s another quote from InsideCatholic that you might especially appreciate. It’s by Ramesh Ponnuru.

“The Massachusetts senators seem to have a special flair for this type of self-deception. There is Ted Kennedy, about whom it has been said that his religion is so private, he doesn’t even impose it on himself. John Kerry, in 2004, invoked Pope Pius XXIII in support of his position. So he has gone Kennedy one better: His religion is so private, he has his own pope.”
