We’ve begun sending our son to the local public jr. high school, and next year they begin with the sex ed stuff.

Do you know of any good Catholic takes on this, which are readable by a 13 year old?

I should note that our family is TV-Free. . . so there’s been the “loss” of that “resource” on sex and sexuality.

Any advice on how to do this?
 
There is a “Theology Of The Body” for teens that is based on “Theology Of The Body” by Saint John Paul II. That was recommended to us for our twelve year old son by one of our parish’s deacons.
