One area where the differences between Catholics and Evangelicals seem to be most striking is in the area of Catholic Social Teaching. The case can be made quite convincingly that scripture commands that we must be concerned about how our actions affect the poor and the least among us. It appears from my viewpoint that evangelicals are at best silent on this at best, and almost hostile to this idea at worst. Can anyone recommend any books or websites that address this issue from an evangelical perspective? I am trying to understand their viewpoint better, and what I seem to come up with in my searches is a lot of neglect of this issue by evangelicals.
Thanks.
