Hello, I am new to this forum. I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this, but can anyone recommend a good Catholic study Bible (the complete OT and NT including Psalms and Proverbs)?
I also have the Ignatius and Navarre - and highly recommend both. The Navarre is expensive because it has so much commentary - it comes in sets. For example “Gospels & Acts” comes as a complete book. The Pentatuch is another complete book. Expensive, but worth it!!I have the Ignatius Study Bible and the Navarre Series, both of which are excellent. I also have the St. Jerome Biblical Commentary which I would stay away from unless you have already done a large amount of scripture study. Finally, I have several of the bible study CD sets by Brant Pitre, which are fantastic…
Really interesting site - thanks for sharing it.I have the Ignatius Study Bible and the Navarre Series, both of which are excellent. I also have the St. Jerome Biblical Commentary which I would stay away from unless you have already done a large amount of scripture study. Finally, I have several of the bible study CD sets by Brant Pitre, which are fantastic. In the future, I have my eye on Pope Benedict’s commentaries on the Gospels as well as the Catena Aurea, the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture series, and the Haydock commentaries.
I just came across this last night which you may find enjoyable.
