Catholic teaching on visiting protestant worship services

I remember when priests advised against going to Protestant services. Now it seems to be okay as long as we don’t partake of their Communion and also attend Mass in our own parishes.
 
Now, I think it is as I say. For a good reason, and with remote risk of scandal and of perversion, mere passive participation in non-catholic acts of cult can be tolerated. Active participation may occur only in ecumenical acts, which must have Bishop’s approval and in which there be none religious indifferentism.

Take it easy. If you can perhaps help make the Holy Mass more reverent and traditional, do that. The Church is made up of its individual parts after all.
 
I know. Every time I get critical Our Lord reminds me of his words to St. Peter . “What is that to you? Follow me.”

Yes, I have heard that too but then we wonder why Mass attendance is so low and many no longer believe in the Real Presence.
