Do you know of an (name removed by moderator)atient residential faith based addiction treatment center for Catholics that operates similarly to Teen Challenge? I’m looking for a program on the East coast that is willing to accept an 18 year old with very little in the way of resources to pay for it.

This might be a good resource for you: nccatoday.org/

The Guest House is a place where I believe the clergy can go to heal. I’ve been to meetings there and they are wonderful.

I’m not familiar with the Teen Challenge, but the St. Francis House in New York City has a great record with helping young men who have struggled with addiction.

Here’s their website: sfhbrooklyn.com/

I’m beginning to think that there is some mental illness also involved; perhaps bi-polar disorder. Any ideas for free to low-cost mental health services in Virginia? Catholic charities perhaps?

Yes, call Catholic Charities. Bi-polar is something that should be under the care of a psychiatrist, I think, but they will know how to proceed if you need help.
