Hello all,

Where can I find a list of Catholic Theology Doctoral Programs in the United States?
What area of theology are you interested in? Many major Catholic Universities have PhD programs. If you are looking for Pontifical Doctorates the number is much smaller. There are also Catholic Doctor of Minitistry programs that are offered by some seminaries, universities or theological unions.

While I am very interested in different areas of systematics, the most important factor right now is location- I’m looking for something in the Denver, CO or Omaha, NE areas.

The only Catholic graduate school I know of in that area is Crighton and I don’t think they have a PhD program. For good PhD programs in theology you are going to have to go to California, the East Coast, or around the Chicago area.

Some East Coastish ones:

Catholic University of America (Washington D.C.)
Notre Dame
University of Toronto (Canada)
Marquette University
Fordham University
Boston College

Those are the major ones that come to mind.

Duquesne University (Pennsylvania) – that’s another one. But they only offer systematic.
