Hello everyone. I would like to introduce a sort of “project” I am working on, that I think might be of interest to the people of this forum. My idea is for people here to posts questions they have about Catholic theology, specifically, and for me to attempt to answer them in a few paragraphs on a blog, which I will give a link to. These questions should be posted in this thread or sent to me via this forum’s private message system. They should be only about Catholic theology - meaning questions about God; not about politics, Church traditions, morality or other subjects. Theology is my speciality, and I feel that limiting the scope of my blog might make it more accessible to others, and easier for me to handle. I do not suggest to have all the answers to every questions, even specifically about theology. I am not an official Church theologian or priest. I am simply a Catholic who came to the faith through philosophical study; on the way, I became familiar with many different worldviews, including atheism, Buddhism, Taoism and many of my own invention. I discussed with many different people over that time, and I really enjoyed learning about other people’s beliefs. Now, I would like to try to answer some dilemmas other people have who are on the journey I have only recently completed: the journey home to Catholicism. I am not looking for arguments or insults; I am only looking to help people who are interested in Catholicism, or who perhaps do not believe it but simply have questions about it they would like answered. I would even like to help non-Catholic Christians with questions about theology.
If I do not have an answer to your question, I will either refer you to a reference source that might be of help, or ask you to talk to your local priest about it. Again I can’t promise to answer all questions, but I will try. All my answers are purely personal opinion. They are not necessarily the official teaching of the Church, nor are they meant to be taken as such. My only intention is to give spiritual guidance in a subject I have looked into heavily myself.
Please, I deeply encourage and ask everyone interested in Catholic theology to post their questions and dilemmas in this thread, and give me the honor of attempting to answer them. I sincerely hope any aid I can provide will help you on your journey home. Please try to stay on-topic here; this is only meant for questions, not answers. Please do not answer other people’s questions yourself; I am specifically asking to do the answering myself.
