'Catholic Town', Heaven on Earth?

The Devil will try very hard to make this fail, though. He has already mobilized his elite unit, the ACLU, to try and bring the evils of contraception and abortion to this town. Ave Maria needs our prayers. :gopray:

The town does not have to approve of an abortion clinic. Every town in the country has a right to make zoning laws that govern the types of businesses they have.
 
I don’t think it’ll be a ‘gated’ community, so that obviates 95% of the possible isolation.
 
Are they going to have catholic or at least pro-life doctors?

I personally am sick and tired of pill/contraceptive pushers…that all modern Ob’s are. They work for the drug companies…not patients.😦

Last time I had a child (my 6th) all I heard every time
I went to the Ob, from the nurses etc were questions about when I was going to get them tied.
The catholic nurses (who incidentally go to my parish) were the worst…they laugh at my old fashioned notions.

I think I might be pregnant again, and I do not look forward to going to the Ob at all. And don’t tell me to find another one…I have been to others, have shopped around and know from friends they are all basically like the one I have.
At least I know this doc. She’s a very nice pill pusher.:rolleyes:

But If I knew of a pro catholic-pro life doc, I’d drop this one in a NY minute.

I don’t have documentation on it but I have read that at one time there were religious orders which included married couples and their families. If you really want a Catholic community which supports the traditional styles of family and worship, establish a religious order and invite applicants for admission to the order. A town development project such as AMT is not going to come even close. I give it about fifteen years before it is virtually indistinguishable from any other Florida town.

Dina - Congratulations on #7! I’m looking to practice out there once my training’s done (2012 or 2013), so maybe I can help you through your pregnancy with #8 - or #9 or even #10, depending on how many more you think you’re supposed to have?
