Is it better or worse than Supernatural as far as religion goes?

Do they criticize the Catholic faith and/or traditions?

I’ve only watched two episodes and for my tupenny’s worth, it is an extremely dark show. In the first shows you find out that the “hero” has been involved in demonic trade offs which ended up with an innocent underage girl being possessed by a demon then dying and being dragged to hell against her will cuz like you know GOD can’t possibly claim his own against the power of a rogue practitioner of the “dark arts” deal with a demon. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttte. Yeah very occult to the point of the hero being doused with blood nude, leaping around and screaming out some kind of mumbo jumbo inside a magic circle in his living room. Curdles your stomach.
