I am a 22 year old college student at a very orthodox Catholic university. You would expect this university to be filed with ultra Catholics who only go to Latin mass and think taking the eucharist by the hands is gross. In reality, there are a large amount of holy people, far more then in regular universities for sure, but there is also the small percent of people whose parents sent them there as a form of rehab.

The woman who I am about to tell you about is one of those. She comes from a very large Catholic family and was well taught. Point to a picture of a saint and she will tell you their name, their feast day, etc. Even obscure saints that no-one knows about.

It is a very strange situation. She tells me her parents cried when they found out she smoked weed. They’re are convinced that she quit, and are completely unaware of her current lifestyle.

She abuses every single drug you can imagine, besides heroine and PCP. Oxycodin, cochaine, acid, marihuana, xanax, you name it, she’s done it. As she explained to me herself, she slept with so many men her early years at the university, it was easier for her to name the guys she refused to sleep with (football players, apparently).

She is, to put it quite bluntly, at the heart of darkness in this university. More specific information about her would be inappropriate to place in this forum. If she does not get help, I am confident she will be dead within ten years.

While at first i would simply marvel at the sheer and utter degeneracy i was witnessing, after becoming her coworker and then close friend, i could not help but send a few prayers her way and begin to bring her to the blessed sacrament with me. She is trying. Not very hard, but there is some consistent effort on her part to becoming a relatively stable person.

I am not a superstitious person. Up until now, i was hardly a religious person. Whether you believe me or not, that’s fine, but i need to say it. The devils involved. After praying for her and convincing her to go to the blessed sacrament, i was afflicted with such a state of grief and misery that i was confined to my bed and unable to move. It was like kicking a hornets nest. I have dealt with depression in the past, but this was more then depression. This was the very fiber of being getting ripped apart. Every bad memory and shameful moment came back to haunt me. Things from the third grade. I was being TOLD that i was a worthless human being. By “coincidence” there were sleeping pills that i had accidentally taken home from work with me near my bed (i work a maintenance job and put them in my bag and forgot to throw them out when i found then in a drawer). I would never kill myself in a million years, but after careful prayer and reflection i am confident that they were trying to get me to in order to keep me away from her.

To make a long story short, i think that this girl is one of the devils most favorate projects. Her lifestyle does not fit who she is. She is very kind to all, even those who get on her nerves. The biggest losers and rejects can talk to her if they want to feel accepted. If you saw a picture of her, you would think she is a little farm girl that makes apple pies and teaches Sunday school. And that’s what she should be. Instead she is a drug addict and a sexual deviant, who is dating a semi homeless drug addict that mistreats her because she thinks that no normal guy will ever like her (she is beautiful, but the drugs have made her very thin and she has a reputation among us “Normal” men). Meanwhile her parents are completely unaware of the path that she is headed down.

Imagine if this was your daughter. If despite doing everything right, “an enemy” came and seduced her into doing wrong, and then kept her in a drug induced haze so that she couldn’t find her way back. Imagine if you had no idea.

I owe her, since without her i wouldn’t have been able to begin dating this other girl ( another long story), so that, in addition to the utter outrage and disgrace that Satan has been able to twist as corrupt this girl unchecked for so many years, have convinced me to vow pray a rosary a day for her until she converts. I am prepared to do this until the day i die.

But i need help. I am a sinner, and she is so far gone. I tell you, if she is converted, many others will fallow her. It would completely turn the underbelly of this university upside down. It would come as a shock to every person that knows her, and she would become a testimony to the mercy of God and His power. It would be worth it to even form prayer groups for her.

I know we all have our problems, but if you have any spare time, or if your life is peaceful right now and you can expend your energy for a soul who needs it, please let me know and i will email you her name. Join the battle! Reinforcements are needed! Deus Vult!

I will say a prayer for her, and for you as well (but, no need to send me her name).

May all the angels and saints intercede for this young woman.

May our Blessed Mother intercede for her.

May our Lord Jesus Christ illuminate her conscience and grant her the grace of repentance.

Lord, …Hear our prayer!

All good things are possible with You!

Good luck!

Praying for you all in this year of Mercy. Dear Jesus no problem is too big for you to handle. Send the devils packing and bring these people closer to your Sacred Heart.

Amen.

Remembering you and this young lady in my daily prayers. God bless.

Praying for her and for you… No need to send her name. God knows who she is – and who you are.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
:signofcross:
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
…be our defense against the wickedness and
……snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
…and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host,
…by the power of God,
…thrust into Hell Satan
…and all the other evil spirits
…who prowl about the world
… seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Learning Christ
Teach me, my Lord,
to be sweet and gentle in all the events of life;
in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others,
in the insincerity of those I trusted,
in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied.

Let me put myself aside,
to tshink of the happiness of others,
to hide my little pains and heartaches, so
……that I may be the only one to suffer from them.

Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path.
Let me so use it that it may mellow me,
……not harden nor embitter me; that it may make me patient, not irritable;
……that it may make me broad in my forgiveness,
……not narrow, haughty and over-bearing.

May no one be less good for having come within my influence.
No one less pure, less kind, less noble for having been a
……fellow-traveler in our journey toward Eternal Life.

As I go my rounds from one distraction to another,
let me whisper, from time to time, a word of love to Thee.
May my life be lived in the supernatural, full of power and good,
……and strong in its purpose of sanctity.

Divine Mercy, only hope of despairing souls, I trust in You
Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in You
Divine Mercy, delight and ecstasy of holy souls, I trust in You
Divine Mercy, inspiring hope against all hope, I trust in You

Prayer:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Prayer for Forgiveness of Sins

O Lord, Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Saviour,
forgive my sins, just as You forgave Peter’s denial
and those who crucified You. Count not my transgressions,
but, rather, my tears of repentance. Remember not
my iniquities, but, more especially, my sorrow
for the offenses I have committed against You.
I long to be true to Your Word, and pray that You
will love me and come to make Your dwelling place
within me. I promise to give You praise and glory
in love and in service all the days of my life.

Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus. [Repeat after each below]
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. [Repeat after each below]
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
… others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may
…become as holy as I should…

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
by Saint Antiochus
O Holy Spirit,
most merciful Comforter:
You proceed from the Father
in a manner beyond our understanding.
Come, I beseech You,
and take up your abode in my heart.
Purify and cleanse me from all sin,
and sanctify my soul.
Cleanse it from every impurity,
water its dryness,
melt its coldness,
and save it from its sinful ways.
Make me truly humble and resigned,
that I may be pleasing to You,
and that You might abide with me forever.
Most Blessed Light,
most Amiable Light,
enlighten me.
O Rapturous Joy of Paradise,
Fount of Purest Delight,
My God, give yourself to me
and kindle in my innermost soul the fire of Your love.
My Lord, instruct, direct,
and defend me in all things.
Give me strength against all immoderate fears
and against despondency.
Bestow upon me a true faith,
a firm hope,
and a sincere and a perfect love.
Grant that I always do Your Most Gracious Will.
Amen.

Prayer for All Virtues
O Almighty and all-knowing God,
without beginning or end,
who art the giver, preserver, and rewarder of all virtue:

Grant me to stand firm on the solid foundation of faith,
be protected by the invincible shield of hope,
and be adorned by the nuptial garment of charity;

Grant me by justice to obey thee,
by prudence to resist the crafts of the Devil,
by temperance to hold to moderation,
by fortitude to bear adversity with patience;

Grant that the goods that I have I may share liberally
with those who have not,
and the good that I do not have I may seek with humility
from those who have;

Grant that I may truly recognize the guilt of the evil I have done,
and bear with equanimity the punishments I have deserved;
that I may never lust after the goods of my neighbour,
but always give thanks to thee for all thy good gifts…

Plant in me, O Lord, all thy virtues,
that in divine matters I might be devout,
in human affairs wise,
and in the proper needs of the flesh onerous to no one…

And grant that I may never rush to do things hastily,
nor balk to do things demanding,
so that I neither yearn for things too soon,
nor desert things before they are finished.
Amen.

O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, Jesus. [Repeat after each below]
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. [Repeat after each below]
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
… others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may
…become as holy as I should…

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
by Saint Antiochus
O Holy Spirit,
most merciful Comforter:
You proceed from the Father
in a manner beyond our understanding.
Come, I beseech You,
and take up your abode in my heart.
Purify and cleanse me from all sin,
and sanctify my soul.
Cleanse it from every impurity,
water its dryness,
melt its coldness,
and save it from its sinful ways.
Make me truly humble and resigned,
that I may be pleasing to You,
and that You might abide with me forever.
Most Blessed Light,
most Amiable Light,
enlighten me.
O Rapturous Joy of Paradise,
Fount of Purest Delight,
My God, give yourself to me
and kindle in my innermost soul the fire of Your love.
My Lord, instruct, direct,
and defend me in all things.
Give me strength against all immoderate fears
and against despondency.
Bestow upon me a true faith,
a firm hope,
and a sincere and a perfect love.
Grant that I always do Your Most Gracious Will.
Amen.

Prayer for All Virtues
O Almighty and all-knowing God,
without beginning or end,
who art the giver, preserver, and rewarder of all virtue:

Grant me to stand firm on the solid foundation of faith,
be protected by the invincible shield of hope,
and be adorned by the nuptial garment of charity;

Grant me by justice to obey thee,
by prudence to resist the crafts of the Devil,
by temperance to hold to moderation,
by fortitude to bear adversity with patience;

Grant that the goods that I have I may share liberally
with those who have not,
and the good that I do not have I may seek with humility
from those who have;

Grant that I may truly recognize the guilt of the evil I have done,
and bear with equanimity the punishments I have deserved;
that I may never lust after the goods of my neighbour,
but always give thanks to thee for all thy good gifts…

Plant in me, O Lord, all thy virtues,
that in divine matters I might be devout,
in human affairs wise,
and in the proper needs of the flesh onerous to no one…

And grant that I may never rush to do things hastily,
nor balk to do things demanding,
so that I neither yearn for things too soon,
nor desert things before they are finished.
Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
