Catholic way of viewing the Bible and Tradition

There is a great book by an Orthodox priest, Fr. John Behr, called The Mystery of Christ, which speaks wonderfully about this topic. It was the death and resurrection of Christ that provided the proper rule by which to read the scriptures (i.e. The Old Testament). This tradition provided the hypothesis by which the New Testament scriptures were written and later included as “canon”. I highly recommend the book for anyone interested in this topic. It is relatively short, but extremely rich.
