Thomas Moore gave such witness to the faith. It is so sad that our new generation Catholics don’t know about him. Was at Mass on his feastday (Not a required one) and he was not mentioned.

I wend to Mass on his feastday too… he was talked about a lot. The whole story of him and John Fisher was given in great detail. The Priest ended it with the line: “We need more Thomas Moore’s and John Fisher’s in the Church today. Bishops and laymen that will say ‘This is the truth’ and no one, no one will make me believe otherwise.”

Friends,
I would like to know which Catholic websites you visit. Websites with forums, Marian, resource, etc.
I am trying to compile a good internet resource I can go to when I have a few minutes here and there at work.
thanks

ok, sorry here’s a few…really. They are sites I found looking for specific information that seem to have lots of stuff. They at least had good answers to my immediate questions.

You want to avoid this one, it calls on Pope Benedict to resign "for the good of the Church & accuses Bl. John Paul II of “fostering heresy”.

Thanks for all the other links.

Hi all. I’m looking for great websites run by and read by Catholics. My favorite is fisheaters.com/ but there must be others out there. Are there websites like that? Any good Catholic blogs that are interesting? Anything at all? 🙂

CatholicCulture.org, among other things, rates websites for fidelity, resources and useability and does a pretty good job. Headed by Jeff Mirus, Catholic Culture has a strong record for orthodoxy.

Unfortunately, they warn against Fisheaters:
Fish Eaters is a personal apologetical site which targets non-Catholic Christians, converts and Catholics. Its stated purpose is to bring people to Christ and His Church. Though there are many good resources to be found here, they are seriously marred by the webmaster’s ultra-traditionalist views. Throughout the site, the language consistently implicitly and explicitly rejects the New Mass as well as the authority of Second Vatican Council.
The section on Being Catholic has a wealth of information and is tastefully illustrated

Fisheaters is rated excellent on usability and resources, but rated dangerous on fidelity.

A recent posting:
The Raising of Lazarus… Continuing this interesting series of reflections on Lenten Mass readings, in this essay, Peregrinus turns his attention to the story of the Raising of Lazarus. He argues: “The point is that God’s response to our grief and anger and pain and loss is real”
