I hope it isn’t considered too tacky to promote one’s own website. I’ve done a lot of books (and media, including EWTN and Relevent Radio) about my favorite topic, angels. The first in my book series, Where Angels Walk, has been out there for 16 years, and still going! Angels are not just for Catholics, of course, but in the early 90’s, that was definitely the national mindset. I like to think that a lot of us Catholics were able to educate our fellow Christians in the why and what of angels, and thus broke down some of the barriers between us.

If any of you would like to receive an angel story every two weeks, or just to browse when you need a hug, just join/visit at joanwanderson.com. Thanks!

Wow! I’ve been researching Catholic websites for a couple of years, but you all mentioned some I’d never seen. Thanks! But (boo-hoo face) I didn’t see mine! If the Holy Spirit moves you, check it out: catholicpoetsandwriters.com . The resource page has hotlinks, too, like for a couple excellent Bible studies you can do online or by mail. I am a wannabe playwright. I looked at your website(looks great:)) but I didn’t see anything related to this kind of writing 😦 . Do you know if there is a Catholic website for plays and playwrights?

I have some bookmarked for those who are into music:

lovetobecatholic.com/ - Like YouTube, but Catholic
catholicjukebox.com/ - An online radio station that plays Catholic music and allows you to request songs from their music library
catholicrock.com/ - Critical Mass, a really cool Catholic rock band
nickalexander.com/home/ - Nick Alexander… the Weird Al of Christian music
rockingromans.com/ - A contemporary Catholic music site, featuring a number of artists. I have not looked into it much, but it seems good.

I think the title of the thread kind of says it all. So what are some of your favorite Catholic websites? do you have other Catholic websites where you go and chat? a website where you can print out favorite prayers of the church? a favorite Saint of yours that has a website dedicated to them? I’ll start us out and list a few of my favorites.

I like this one:

😉

I also like to search on Flickr for photos of churches and other religious subjects. Here are two of my favorites:

Hey Langdell, thanks for the cool websites. Do you know where that church in the photo from that flicker website is located? That actually looks like the inside of a very old Catholic church that I was in before, thats just outside of downtown Chicago Il.

Heres one where a retired Cardinal from the Vatican is speaking to people about not voting for pro abortion candidates, & blindly supporting pro abortion agendas. Its short and to the point. It is also very funny, but at the same time, very truthful. This man gets it, and doesn’t have a problem talking about whats on his mind. I love it!!!

According to the photo, it’s São Paulo-Centro…but it does indeed look like a church that would belong in Chicago!

I didn’t see the info for the picture, thanks for the heads up. What a beautiful church.

I don’t speak Portuguese, but I think São Paulo-Centro is a geographic location, roughly downtown São Paulo.

To narrow the scope down a bit more, I searched the Flicker site. The photo is of the Capela do Menino Jesus de Praga e Santa Luzia, or Chapel of Infant Jesus of Prague and Saint Lucy. And it is indeed in São Paulo-Centro.

As for my favorite Catholic site… well, CAF, of course! :o

But the site reviews at Catholic Culture.org are also worth reading if I have any concern about the orthodoxy of another website.

While not a Catholic website per se, my channel on youtube promotes Latin chants and other sacred music. In it I sing various hymns and Mass parts a cappella. It’s perfect for when you have only a few minutes to listen to something.

Br. Alphonsus chants on Youtube.

I hope it brings everyone closer to God, that’s the reason I started it.

God Bless, Br. Alphonsus.
