Hi,
My fiancee and I are planning to get married in
Catholic church, but we already went through a civil
union due to immigration hardship on my part.(We
had no other choice because we were about to get
separated) We kept the civil union a secret and
didn’t tell anyone about it- we don’t live together
Is there any way to have a regular catholic ceremony
without everyone knowing that we are already married
We are really stressed over this situation so all you
advice is deeply appreciated.

Welcome to the CA Forums. Unfortunately I do not know the answer to your question for sure, but I would think you, your wife, and the priest in charge could simply not tell anybody about the civil ceremony. It was effectively a legal fiction, after all, and would not be recognized by the Church. And if you’re not living together (or otherwise consummating the marriage) it shouldn’t be an issue at all. But I would ask the priest to make sure.

I would schedule an appointment with both the family and adult ministry person and the priest that is going to perform your wedding ceremony

I’ve looked at alot of her posts, and that is all she is bringing up, is threads from 05 and 07.

Gotta wonder sometimes.
 
I am not bringing up old threads it is the first time that I have read them because i am presently lookingat the archives I do have to work for a living so I do not get to look at the material every day and if you will look closer there are some responses to some more recent threads
