I cannot tell you what to do about attending this group. I would certainly avoid using the term “nondenominational” for a Protestant group. That is simply dishonesty. There are always significant differences, how major they are is a matter of opinion.

Increasingly.

I do find, though, that the core of the Church that makes personnel decisions are generally very choosy about the seminary backgrounds of potential candidates.

The disco-Church in my county is “non-denominational”, but their theology is very, very free-will southern baptist.

Elizabeth3, Thank you so much for your comment. That is how I feel too, that it may open dialogue more within my marriage and that I may be able to show others the Catholic POV who have never heard it. In going to this with him, I think my husband would be open to going to talks or studies done at my parish, as he already willingly goes to Mass with me every Sunday. Yes, I’m trying to focus on our unity instead of division.
 
That is completely understandable, Gorgias, and I agree. Unfortunately, many Catholics do not read scripture as much as they should. I feel that I do read scripture consistently and I also read the Catechism, so hopefully, I will be able to decipher the differences. Thank you so much for the prayers.
