Has anyone explored the relationship between the developed theology antecedent to what happened in Topeka Kansas with Charles Parham and company and the modern concept of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and Catholicism? Theologically (not experientially) how does the Catholic Church justify importing charismatic phenomenae into practice? What is the theology behind Catholic acceptance of modern concepts such as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues? Or is there any? Why has the Catholic Church accepted the charismatic movement’s practices?
