They still could accuse us of such.

Well there you go - and the charge wasn’t for polytheism!
If one does not believe in the Trinitarian concept of God, what would one call someone else honoring a Heavenly Father as god, a “Son of God” as god, and a “Holy Spirit” as god other than polytheism?

Are you telling me that Jews would not condemn Catholics and Orthodox for idolatry because of their use of images?

That’s not my point. You said that the Jews didn’t accuse us of this, and I said that they could have

However, Moslems accused us of worshipping Father, Son, and Holy Mother. This is simply false.

Next, it’s simply false. They don’t have to believe in it for them to understand it. So your apology misses again, there.
Are you telling me that Jews would not condemn Catholics and Orthodox for idolatry because of their use of images?
Still not my point.

Anyway…
Jews used ‘imagery’, so do Orthodox. Catholics used 3-D imagery (such as statues).

Hi

Now that **Jesus’ Second Coming **1835-1908 has taken place in the form of the PromisedMessiah, so in my opinion, relevance of all such ideas doesn’t remain valid. If my friends here; be they Jews ,Catholics or Muslims if they concentrate only on **one point **these academic and mostly imaginative issues would fissile out rationally.

The single point which could resolve such contentious debates is:

Jesus did not got killed on Cross though he was put on Cross.

Jews tried to kill Jesus on Cross to prove that he was a false prophet.
If Jesus did not die on Cross, that would prove that he was a truthful Prophet and the true Moshiach they must have accepted.

Cathlics make God out of a humble man Jesus, in my opinion; an improbable thing for Jews simply because Catholics assume Jesus got resurrected from the dead, when Jesus is proved not killed on Cross, which makes him no God, and which again is acceptable to the Jews being very much in line with the OTBible.
This does not make the Catholics a non-Catholic.

Muslims, due to some misconception from wrong understanding of some Hadith they think that Jesus was lifted to heavens to save his life from the hands of Jews and in the latter days he would come again as Messiah in Muslims ( not in Catholics).

By accepting my suggestion (of course I would give very sound and reasonable and rational arguments from Quran and Bible etc), they also come to know that Jesus was not lifted to heavens and he later died a peaceful and natural death. So, it becomes easier for them to accept the PromisedMessiah or Jesus’ Second Coming 1835-1908 as it should be accepted by the Catholics also.

This way **solution of the “mystery” of Cross **resolves the differences among the Abrahamic religions peacefully and naturally.

Please, let us give it a try.

Moslems accused Christians falsely of worshipping Mary *as part of *the Trinity

(Sura Al-Ma’idah)
5:116
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?’ " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.

The “Islamic Awareness” site gives the bold statement that Mary is part of the Trinity.

islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Contrad/External/marytrin.html

The concept of the Trinity is so simple that schoolchildren readily understand it. All three Persons are presented in the New Testament, and it is prefigured in the Old Testament; eg. the three visitors to Abraham who he addresses as Lord. It is all over the early literature of the Church. Even the Protestant heritics didn’t abandon it. One suspects there is a non-theological motivator for this supposed misunderstanding, and that it is not inadvertent. Obstinacy is ultimately the cause of division, alienation, and rejection of love. What’s so hard about the metaphysics of the internal life of the One God? Muslims claim to know God’s attributes and names, which are many. They even claim that these attributes and names are not humanly adduced, but divinely revealed. Why can’t they accept that God can reveal the operation of uncreated love within Himself; that He revealed Himself out of love for His creation; that God’s operation of love is reflected in the image and likeness in which He created man? If God is love, then Muslims only comprehend that as self-love. Christianity’s metaphysics gets it right – love of the other. A God that is Self, or a God that is Three Persons – which reveals a God that is Love?

Is this belligerent, hectoring, arrogant tone necessary?
Hey No-Sum 😉 Why do you have a problem with yourself?
Does it make you sound more “Christian”?
Great Question (not!), you must have used all your faculties to come up with this question. Nonsensical jargon.
Obvious this question further displays your pompous ignorance and lack of etiquette. Would Christ converse in such supercilious manner? It is evident that you are far from Christian and closer to anti-Christian perhaps, as your flatus mouth (or cerebrum and typing fingers) proves it as such.
What is this meaningless attempt to distinguish “sign of contradiction” from “sign to be contradicted” and how does the quote from Acts contradict what I said?
Evasive. One such as yourself who makes great efforts to portray yourself as knowledgeable, should have little problem in tackling such a simple query. It should be trivial for your grandiloquent self. Did know not that vanity is a Sin? Instead you use a tactic of evasion in an attempt to downplay your own shortcomings. 😦
Do you have a problem with John Paul II?
No, but as you have shown you do. Though you may try to emulate him, your pathetic attempts do him no Justice.
Are you one of those misguided Catholics who are “more Catholic than the Popes” simply because the Popes are more open-minded and peace-loving than you personally would prefer to be?
Again, as can be seen by your own words, how in fact misguided you are. You exhibit rhetoric in your coprolitic words and, mask insults in questions with your bombastic style, in order to appear grandiose while simultaneously making false and slanderous accusations. It is pitiful. You pass judgment when asking your absurdities. Now you judge? Think ye Christ?
If you lived in the Middle Ages, would you have condemned the Popes for condemning violent persecution of Jews?
And yet again, your own words display your iniquities.

Please do yourself a favor and do not humiliate yourself by being uncouth to others, this is not a Catholic trait and hence anti-Christian. It would better if you use your knowledge and defend Catholicism against the never ending onslaught from Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah witnesses, other denominations, Cults, etc., instead of being at variance with another Christian. Your overblown oratory, as others will agree, is insulting to Christ and the Trinity, the Catholic Church, others on this forum, and yourself.
Your pretentiousness will be your undoing.

I agree NoSum, your words are admission to NoSum.

Please see posts #32 #33 and #34 About ERRORS in the KORAN. How do you explain that? I have noticed that these ERRORS are always avoided by Muslims, you should have no fear of truth. Just look it up for yourself.

I also found ERRORS IN THE KORAN

Concerning the GOSPEL:

Sura 5:46. And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.

The Koran praises the GOSPEL.
Hi

Would you like to answer a little question in this connection?

Do you think that your “Gospels” speaks of a New Covenant or these Gospels do not have a New Covenant for Catholics?

I think when you answer this question that would explain you the answer of your question yourself, with a little thought.

Thanks

Hi

I have tried to answer one of the questions mentioned in the post # 33.

Thanks

The weird thing is that paarsurrey’s whole faith - his version of Islam - is to suggest that other forms of Islam are in error - because, of them (the Sunni) they did not expected more prophets after Muhammed.

Hi

Nevermind, the issue is not what a Sunni, a Shia, a Catholic, an Orthodox, a JW, a Jew, a Hindu, a Bhuddhist and a Zoroastrian think, but the issue is what is the truth in reality. A very simple thing for everybody is to search for truth and then don’t hesitate in following it.

Thanks

Jesus had a second coming? Wow someone forgot to inform the Vatican! The book of Revelation shows the signs and conditions upon which Jesus will return. There was no rapture and there was no apocalypse so frankly there was no second coming.

Jesus did die on the cross because he was buried. He was killed by the Romans who were very good at what they did. They pierced his side with a spear to confirm death. He must have had massive blood loss due to the scourging and he was extremley dehydrated. I find it ludacris to believe Jesus somehow survived Crucifiction.

So either you think the Romans sucked at executions with crucifiction (which is just plain wrong, they detail it in Roman texts which you apparently deny) or you simply choose to gloss over the historical evidence of what it is to be have been crucified by the Romans.

Indeed! Jesus said next time he comes back, everyone on earth will know it

The Muslim reversion to Jewish polygamy and divorce is another give-away:

Matthew 19:
*3 And there came to him the Pharisees tempting him, and saying: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4 Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said: 5 For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh.

6 Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. 7 They say to him: Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce, and to put away? 8 He saith to them: Because Moses by reason of the hardness of your heart permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.*

The Muslim easy-out and capitulation to sins of the flesh had the same attraction for Protestants. I wonder what a Muslim woman would make of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body:

Christopher West’s Articles

I’d imagine they’d run, not walk, to the nearest RCIA program!

This, from the one who sent me a challenging message filled with masked obscenities, calling me out “anytime, any place, bub” when I DARED speak of his error in public? It’s “bubbette”, btw.

Hi FGHIJ bubbette,

Are you also Nosumd? Coz I see you answer to Nosum.

Masked obscenities?:hypno: The only error I see is that you are so confused you know not your own ID, NoSumd or FGHIJ 🤷
It is wise if you read , slowly, the title of this thread.

MORE ERRORS FOUND IN KORAN !!!:

How Many Days Did It Take To Create Heavens And Earth?

(Koran 7:54)
Your guardian-Lord is Allah. Who created the heavens and the earth in SIX Days

(Koran 10:3)
Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in SIX Days

(Koran 11:7)
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in **SIX days

(Koran 25:29)
He Who created the heavens And the earth and all that is between, in SIX days

NOW LOOK NOW HERE:

(Koran 41:9)
Is it that ye Deny Him who created the earth in TWO days?..

(Koran 41:10)
He set on the (earth). Mountains standing firm,
high above it, and bestowed blessings on the
earth, and measured therein all things to
give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR days

(Koran 41:12)
So He completed them as seven firmaments in TWO days and…

**So which one of these is correct? **

MMLJ, could we tone down the rhetoric? It makes it hard to see the truth.

Hi FGHIJ bubbette,

Are you also Nosumd? Coz I see you answer to Nosum.
No, I am not Nonsum; I posted when I saw your attack on him for telling the truth - as I would hope any Christian would when seeing someone being attacked unjustly.
It is wise if you read , slowly, the title of this thread.
Well, the thing is, MMLJ, your style is more jihadist than Catholic, so perhaps you could let us know if you are appearing here as pro Catholicism or as pro Islam?
