The military is trained to fight wars, not prevent them. The opinion of those retired generals and officers is not very persuasive.

This seems like the ranting of somebody who’s afraid, not a rational argument.

Not all Jews are Zionists and Israel can take care of itself.

This is not the holocaust. Stop equivocating ISIS with Nazi Germany - the analogy doesn’t fit. Nazi Germany was an industrial powerhouse and a technological innovator and ISIS is just barely above throwing stones.

There’s a reason ISIS hasn’t hit Israel - they can’t. They’d lose.

Then fight to win! We learned this in Viet Nam. How long have we been in Iraq? And now there’s this big surprise about ISIS? Why didn’t we know about them all these years? They didn’t form over night.

Europe couldn’t take care of itself in neither WWI nor WWII and that was a whole continent. You think ISIS will care if they’re Zionists or not?

After WWI, Germany was not in good shape. Nevertheless, when Hitler got in the industrial complex ( I believe it was along the Rhine) sprung to life. Under the Treaty of Versailles, that area was to be supervised by the Allies. It was ignored so the military build up began. All because France and England didn’t watch. And you tell me you don’t see the similarities between then and what will happen with Iran? We are allowing them to build up and we shall be the target.

The opionions of generals who are militarily trained don’t matter? But the opinion of Obama, the community advocate does matter? He would be better served if he’d listen to his generals. Obama has shrunk the military and many have left because of that. You will go into a war with no capable leaders at the head. Disaster.

ISIS would have never been a problem if we never invaded Iraq. It never should have happened. We were in Iraq for so long because the military leadership and the administration were incompetent.

What does 9/11 have to do with ISIS or Iraq? Nothing.

I was talking about American Jews. American Jews owe their allegiance to the United States, not Israel.

That’s not a holocaust. The Jews, the Poles, the Gypsies, etc, were not singled out because of cultural indiscretions or violating religious law - they were targeted simply for existing. They were rounded up and put to death in places that served the opposite function of an assembly line.

I said make a rational argument, not have a rational argument. Are you currently taking fire from ISIS? No? Then you should have the time to think rationally and develop a compelling argument.

Considering that Israel has nuclear technology and a highly advanced military…

I’m really not worried about Israelis protecting themselves and their property.

However, anyone who believes that there isn’t a holocaust going on in the Middle East is really blind to reality, especially given the evidence that’s been coming out.

Anyone who doesn’t submit to ISIS is a target, including religious minorities like the Yazidi, Christians, etc.

Yes, their mere existence is a problem considering the goal is to create the greatest Muslim caliphate ever. (Sounds very much like how Hitler envisioned creating his 1000 year Reich.) Submit or die.

When the Americans were in Mosul, we never desecrated or destroyed their churches. ISIS doesn’t think twice about it. Say what you want about the Iraq war, but that’s one thing we got right while we were there.
