…You see friend, Catholicism is extremely dangerous (as is ALL false religions). The Pope Paul VI, November 21, 1962 (Vatican II) said that the Catholic church is the only way to salvation*. He said that baptism is the “door*” into the church (the Catholic church exclusively). He said that a person could not be saved apart from the Catholic church*. This is blasphemy*!!! John 10:9 makes it clear that Jesus ONLY is the DOOR into heaven*. There is not one Scripture in all the Bible telling us to trust the church–not one! Pope Paul VI is a fool*! Trusting the church, any church, is a sure road to destruction. Baptism is NOT a door! Getting baptized will just get you wet. The Bible proclaims, YE MUST BE BORN-AGAIN (John 3:6). You won’t hear the Pope mention being “born-again.” The Catholic church arrogantly teaches that it is the door to heaven. This is a wicked Satanic lie of the devil! The Pope claims to be infallible on all matters of faith and morals. This is another lie! The Bible says, “For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The Pope is a dope and he has no hope! If this offends you, so be it. How dare him claim to be infallible. The Catholic church cannot save anyone, not even itself. ONLY Jesus Christ can save! Don’t be a fool, trust Jesus directly! If you think your going to trust Christ through a religious organization, then you are a fool. The Pope is NOT saved, he knows not the Lord. If he did, he surely would not claim to be God upon the earth.

I think you can totally disregard this entire accusation as it is grounded in half truths and lies:

1. Pope Paul VI was not Pope in 1962.
2. The Catholic Church fully recognizes all Trinitarian Baptisms as valid sacraments. The graces recieved in a Methodist baptism are the same as one done by a Catholic Priest.

The remainder of the post is not only a sophomoric rant but shows ignorance of what the Catholic Church teaches. If one wants to “debate” what the Church teaches, I’m game. But you can’t have a debate with someone who makes silly assertions based on lies.

Challenge him and ask if being “born again” could mean babtism? Just like we entered the world through out mothers “fluids” inheriting sin, we are washed and “born again” when we are babtised.
What did the apostle say when someone believes?
“ok, now you’re born again” or "go and be babtized!"

Unless this is someone you know personally (someone not on a message board) ignore it.

If it is someone you know in personal and if that person is a friend of yours, I’d address the tone before the topic. Tell the person that you’ll debate them only if they learn to be curtious and drop the name-calling. Then catch-up on your Church history and let him have it!

Another problem this poor baptist makes is that he doesn’t know scripture very well. In the Acts of the Apostles, St. Luke makes it very clear to us that Jesus identifies himself with His Church. We as Catholics know this and live this. There is nothing blasphemous about suggesting that the Church is the exclusive path, particularly when we know by faith that the Church is in a mystical way Christ Himself.

The church was in existence long before the New Testemant was.
