Either state proof or dont say anything at all. (Edited by Moderator) You cant just make sweeping declarations without anything to back it up and then expect everyone who reads your posts to have a revelation.

What are you getting at exactly? Are you saying that the leader of Christ’s Church has to be poor like St. Peter? Wouldn’t that kind of hurt your claim that the Anglican Church is the true Church? After all, having the British monarch in charge is the best way to ensure a leader who lives in poverty - you just can’t get much poorer than the British kings and queens! :rolleyes:
 
Look for yourself and see what Paul says about marriage and divorce. Stop trying to questions one’s knowledge of scripture when if you knew them you would know yourself that Paul was clear about divorce. Why would the Catholic church forbid divorce period when scripture allows for it. Isn’t that church teaching that doesn’t square with scripture? No need to be complicated and distorted here.

How about the fact that the Catholic and Orthodox believe in the Real Presence, and the Anglicans ‘changed’ that (after 1500 years).

Well since I’m just a plain dumb ol’ Catholic as your insist I guess I dont know my scripture. Since you, an Anglican, are far superior in Biblical matters then I, why dont you quote the passages that you think make the best argument for divorce?
 
This does not need to be turned into a complexity and you know it. The poof is really your burden if you claim to be Christ’s church. Your teachings are not concurrent with scripture and so many of your dogmas are non-sensical and in many cases laughable. Prove that Mary was born without original sin and also prove that she entered into Heaven body and spirit. I will be waiting for your proof.

Are you referring to Constantine the Great (Gaius Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus) in who’s name was issued the Edict of Milan, which returned previously confiscated Christian meeting places back to Christians, or are you talking about Galerius (Gaius Galerius Valerius Maximianus) who was the first Roman emperor to “tolerate” Christianity? I’d like to hear how these two individuals were instrumental in “founding” the Catholic Church, beyond legalizing Christianity.

The Church is free to make alterations to the kalendar, to the liturgy, etc. Christ did not dictate every last detail, but rather gave the Church the power necessary to handle these matters.
 
Why does the Anglican Church celebrate the Feast of Mary the Virgin on August 15th?

Well. since this is a CATHOLIC forum, and you are attacking our faith, how about if YOU prove that YOUR church is the correct one?

And documentation is necessary.
 
I think its quite fair to state that you have no proof the Mary was born without sin and that she entered into Heaven body and spirit. Thats really the point. You people are a legend in your own mind and in nobody elses Protestant or whatever you want to refer to them as.
