yppop, you quoted-
’ Yes, if for no other reason, we must believe! To give hope.’
at first,i thought u were making an emotional statement. i thought it was not reasonable to believe that just bcoz it would be too cruel to condemn some people to a single lifetime of suffering,it would imply the existance of a better afterlife.
but then, when i looked upon it from the viewpoint of someone dwelling inthe midst of poverty and epidemics in somalia,it made perfect sense.their life makes no sense if it were not for a better after life.there would be no point in living.the world would appear too cruel and exhausting.the very idea of a God and hope for a better after life gives them a reason to live this life for.such a belief would infact help them to meet the sufferings with the grace of faith in a better afterlife and derive something positive out of them.
mr. Atheist, imagine that you are one among those unlucky souls in somalia.if not for a better afterlife, for what reason would u live for?what logic would ur life make?
to be very simple sir, life makes no sense without God.
and gottle of geer, what do u mean by saying the prophecies are manufactured?u dont simply make a statement without reason
