Hi again,
While the Church permits belief in either special creation or developmental creation on certain questions, it in no circumstances permits belief in atheistic evolution.

look I can show you plenty of falsified data on record, but I’m not interested in that as I have never seen any evidence for evolution in man and the bones displayed are far from proof as they are assumption based, so leaving that argument aside as I have covered it many times, I am more interested in the creation story .
Luke in scripture tells us of the ancestry of Jesus and it is 66 times removed from Adam the first man.Now that is all the proof needed if science can prove that this is not the case and that Adam had a mother and Father and they were part of a huge population then that would satisfy my curiosity.
Y chromosome Adam and Mitochondrial Eve both give a date for our parents to be around 6000 years old based on the decay rate. Of course science takes more liberties here and tell us that they are just a pair out of many but never provide evidence for the many and since all men come from adam then you have to ask where is the children of these other many? and I know that Catholics are not prohibited to believe in other forms of humans etc.
that is better than a few dry bones stuck together with plaster to reform and reshape into a fairy tale species no?

when they can’t agree on age or species alarm bells should ring.
I would not put my faith in science that is part of the great delusion God has sent on men.
An extract:
It is the world’s biggest haul of human fossils and the most important palaeontology site in Europe: a subterranean chamber at the bottom of a 50ft shaft in the deepest recesses of the Atapuerca cavern in northern Spain. Dozens of ancient skeletons have been unearthed.

La Sima de los Huesos – the Pit of Bones – has been designated a Unesco world heritage site because of its importance to understanding evolution, and millions of euros, donated by the EU, have been spent constructing a museum of human antiquity in nearby Burgos.

But Britain’s leading expert on human evolution, Professor Chris Stringer, of the Natural History Museum, has warned in the journal Evolutionary Anthropology that the team in charge of La Sima has got the ages of its fossils wrong by 200,000 years and has incorrectly identified the species of ancient humans found there.

Far from being a 600,000-year-old lair of a species called Homo heidelbergensis , he believes the pit is filled with Neanderthal remains that are no more than 400,000 years old. The difference in interpretation has crucial implications for understanding human evolution.

“The Atapuerca finds are hugely important,” said Stringer. “There is no other site like it in terms of numbers of bones and skulls of our ancient predecessors. It is the world’s biggest collection of ancient human fossils and the team there has done a magnificent job in excavating the site. However, if we cannot correctly fix the age and identity of the remains then we are in trouble. Getting that wrong even affects how we construct our own evolution.”

Science vs bible
History vs poetry

History can be true, and poetry can be true.

It seems to me you are taking it all too literally, including the “6th and last day” and the seperate creation of woman…
How literal is too literal ?
Is literal a word which we only use in relation to the Book of Genesis ?

You might find that the vast majority of Catholics are not necessarily creationists.

God is not deceptive. He is not a trickster.
2 Thess 2:9-12
And his comng is according to the work of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders and with all wicked deception to those who are perishing. . For they have not received the love of truth that they might be saved. therefore God sends them a misleading influence that they may believe falsehood that all may be judged who have not believed the truth but have preferred wickedness "
Footnotes God will allow their wilful rejection of truth to have its natura results ofd spiritual blindness, impenitence and damnation
A misleading influence or a delusion.

Deleted - misunderstanding cleared up.

We can use the word literal when referring to something that is to be understood completely at face value. Taking something too Literally is to understand it as historical fact rather than figuratively.

Flagged as uncharitable and a dig at me

2 Thessalonians 2:11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie
Your part of the lie if you promote evolution as a fact as it is nothing more than lies propagated by men who hate God , they put into text books and confused and convinced people that God is not necessary.
the Bible is the truth of God and is above science when science contradicts it.

God created the Heavens and the Earth and everything in it.
Nothing followed natural selection
the vast majority of Catholic may well have been brain washed into believing things that are not true due to indoctrination programmes in schools and universities.
Might is not right.
Thessalonians 2;11
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

Evolutionary science teaches that man came from random chance magically of course and evolved over millions of years and is no more important than any random life form, and is only separated by IQ, survival of the fittest and all that.
This goes against scripture in my book,.
Any way I didn’t start this thread to get caught up in petty arguments, the devil will do that to distract sometimes. I hope at least you have given it some thought and God bless.
