Your 17. This is the age when you need to make decisions on which direction you are going to take in your life. Your grandpa knows you have big life decisions in front of you and he doesn’t want you to loose sight of your future.
Are you looking at continuing your schooling? This is likely what he wishes for you. How are you going to be able to stand up on your own two feet? How will you provide for a family? These are the questions you should be looking at today. You might think he’s pushing you to be rich. I don’t think that’s what he’s concerned about. I bet it’s more about you and becoming a man, looking out for your loved ones, being a rock for your future wife. All good things.

Many Catholics are good husbands and fathers, are bringing the gospel into the work force. These are noble and holy things to reach for.

The Millionaire Next Door book also shows that many millionaires are very humble (no designer clothes, no luxury car, etc), which prove accumulating a million dollar does not go against Christian value - millionaires are still very humble people

And, to follow up on that, that might be part of why some of these people are millionaires; they don’t go around buying designer clothes and luxury cars.
