why are catholics so hung up on OT laws? What is your viewpoint concerning a christians relationship to the OT laws?

Which OT laws? The Ten Commandments, or laws like in Leviticus?

The laws in the OT are fascinating, and a source for study and wisdom. There is no reason for them to cause psychological problems, hang ups, or excessive worry. The OT is inspired by the Holy Spirit, so it is not some moldy old tome with no relevance to my life. I find reading the OT leads me closer to God, teaches me about him, and helps me pray. I love reading about God’s dealings with his people.

Perhaps you can define what you mean by “so hung upon OT laws.” And, perhaps you could give examples to illustrate what you mean.

This is quite a vague statement and doesn’t really make much sense.

The Church’s teaching is readily available in the Catechism in the section on Morality.

Matthew 5:18
I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
