I responded to your survey…but I’m not sure you are going to get what you need.

All you are going to get from this survey are “personal opinions” of individuals - which can be useful in assessing catechesis - but you will not have a comprehensive understanding of, as you say in you OP, “Catholic and Seventh-day Adventist views on the afterlife”.
for this you really need to read up on the teachings of the two groups.

Just a thought…

Peace
James

Thanks James!

I also have to do research on the topic, but this is just to see what the general population of the two denominations view as the afterlife.

Thanks for your opinion though! Much Appreciated!

I completed your survey and hope you will come back with a summary of what you conclude when you are finished. I have to agree with JRKH, I responded with my opinion based upon my understanding of our teachings. To get accurate information of what Catholics have in their teachings regarding an afterlife should be researched in the written teachings of the faith. There are many people out there who call themselves Catholic but are not in agreement with all of the teachings and are not faithful Catholics. To determine the Catholic point of view using their opinions, as well as opinions of other Catholics who may or may not be properly catechized could produce a false conclusion.

Completed the survey, also interested in whatever answers you glean. Good luck with your assignment. Since you mentioned that you would be doing other research as well, you may find some of the information on the Catholic.com site helpful both for its contents and because it tends to reference official Church documents.

Thanks James!

A lot of people don’t have a good grasp of what their Church teaches. Wouldn’t it be better to find what the actual teaching of each of the Faiths is rather than a bunch of possibly erroneous opinions? The Catechism of The Catholic Church gives the Authentic teachings of The Catholic Church.
