Catholics and UFOs show

I had always thought that UFO’s were bogus and that they were either hallucinations, objects formed from reflective light, or photoshopped images. That is UNTIL I saw a UFO in the sky myself. It was at early evening, but dark, and the UFO was shaped somewhat like a saucer with a red laser beam pointing toward the earth. There were five windows which were lighted, and the object was moving slowly eastward in the sky and it was quite close. There was no noise. I could see some sort of creatures in the windows. I ran inside the house to get a camera, but when I returned, the UFO was gone. I am thinking that perhaps it was a weather balloon of some sort, and not an alien visitor from another galaxy, although it did look pretty impressive and I don’t understand how it could have disappeared so quickly.
 
There are a lot of stars within a 50. Light year Radius , an advanced technology that has developed travel at the speed of light , could easily come our way, we make enough noise to attract attention to others, why don’t they drop in for a televised chat ?
Would you want to communicate with such a violent creature like a human ? Doubt it,

Sightings of UFOs and the accompanying abductions are as old as time. Only instead of aliens, it’s elves and fairies. Personally, the elves and fairies explanation sound a lot more plausible than aliens. At least elves and fairies are fellow earthlings and don’t have far to travel, plus they already are adapted to the same environment like us.

That is not credible, or testable and lacks any evidence. As a long-time researcher, I have rejected the well written fantasies of Jacques Vallee, and the interesting but equally speculative work of John Keel. Mythology is mythology. Another subject which I have studied in depth. Even though I’ve seen a UFO myself, I’ve concluded all sightings have been of man-made craft with a small percentage of misidentifications. Trained observers have tracked them on radar and on the ground at the same time.

My post was done out of a spirit of whimsy not out of a spirit of science. I was not putting forth a scientific theory.

Yes I do know the difference between science and mythology.

Again my post was tongue in cheek so to speak.

If most of the UFO sightings have truly been experimental aircraft, and keep in mind people have been seeing these ‘ufos’ as far back as the early 1900s, so if they were indeed govt, experimental craft, WHY does our most advanced aircraft come NOWHERE close to the abilities of these ‘ufos’?

Most UFOs people see have the same basic characteristics…ability to hover in one spot, ability to take off so fast, it looks like they disappear, and alot of them have some type of ‘cloaking’ device, and cameras are the only things that can pick them up, cant be seen with the naked eye…The last time I checked, the most advanced jet we have today (F35), is extremely loud, cannot hover in one spot without making a sound, cant take off as fast as the ‘UFOs’ seen decades ago?

I tend to think if majority of the UFOs were actually experimental craft, we would have at least seen SOME of the technology show up in production aircraft by now…but we arent even close!?

I am more in favor of an optical illusion or a weather phenomena for UFOs that display the types of behavior you describe above instead of the experimental aircraft explanation.

Humans are a funny thing,, we need Constant reassurance ,, if we don't get constant
reassurance we become filled with doubt , which covers our belief in God , Science , and even our own self confidence , And all to varying degrees of course , we as humans like to have tangible proof of everything, as in days gone by, people believed our planet earth was at the very centre of the entire universe , till one day someone discovered it was not,
we refuse to believe in Ghosts , little green men from Mars, or even the possibility of life on some distant planet… Not until an Alien spacecraft lands in our own backyard and requests Either Strawberry Yogurt on Toast or an anal Probe will we Believe,
But then, if any did visit your back yard , would you tell the World ?
Would anyone believe you ? Not until this happens humanity will keep a closed mind on the issue, UFO’s are a possibility, Like Volcano’s on Jupiter’s Moon Lo…
traveling at or beyond the speed of light seems impossible . but then, would you expect to find a fish 5 miles under the Ocean surface ?
just keep an open mind of the Possibility , just like you should say to an Atheist ,

The answer is simple. The technology used in these aircraft is classified. The fact that they exist is classified. Their existence is denied. There is no money to be made in building aircraft of this type. Instead, older technologies are kept flying, with minor improvements, because there is money to be made. Finally, to quote a former government official: “The real threat is not what we know about the enemy’s capabilities, but what we don’t know.” During World War II, an advisor to the British government, Lord Cherwell, declared that recon photos of the German V-2 showed a hoax. Since, at the time, no powder rocket of its size could reach England, much less carry a payload. He was proved wrong. The propulsion system used was unexpected, and the rocket could not be shot down. A lot of people have seen UFOs. They have been tracked on radar. Personnel at a missile testing range spotted them but could not say more. Fighter pilots have seen them as well as airline pilots. They are under orders to say nothing to civilians.

None of the pre-1944 reports can be checked with any degree of accuracy.
