Oh, I did wish to add on that there are probably cases of some Pro-Life Democrats still, isn’t the Pennsylvania Governor Casey thought to be somewhat Pro-Life??
Most of the “bluedog” Democrats (I counted 64 in the House) were voted out of office last election. They were most vulnerable even without Obamacare and even without the Tea Party. Need to bring them or more back if we’re to get 2/3 (or is it 3/4?) of the House and Senate to start with a Constitutional Amendment.

At this point, any Catholic who votes for Obama should just go ahead and leave the Catholic Church while they are at it, since a vote for Obama is a vote against the teachings of the Catholic Church. Those who are not resolutely with all of the teachings of the Magisterium, are against the Magisterium. It is time for the Church to purge itself of those who are lukewarm, those who favor comfort over sacrifice, materialism over ascetism, and worldliness over spirituality.
That is an interesting comment that mirrors some thoughts I have been mulling over for a while. I don’t believe that the Church should do the purging but rather it should spend more time teaching what it means to be Catholic and what it takes to truly be a Catholic. People who are saying they are Catholic but fighting the rules every step of the way are really not Catholic. That is what I have been thinking about for months, why do they want to be part of the Church when there are other faiths that would accommodate what they believe and practice? But, in the end I always come back to the idea that eventually God will speak to their hearts and they will come home and join fully in our faith. So, I feel that if we slam the door on them it will make it harder for this to happen.
