I did not have a regular cycle although using NFP showed me a cycle that was not typical. One of the reasons I loved NFP. I imagine that it is as you say different for everyone.
“Consistent cycle” is probably a better term to use here. More abstinence is required in certain situations. But yes, the beauty of NFP methods is that it’s personalized.
Four living children, two miscarriages. All were planned. We are now post-menopausal.
NFP was a challenge for me (the husband). My libido has always been higher than my wife’s. The abstinence was difficult at times for me. However, we always practiced it because of the teachings of the Church regarding contraception. Any problems I had with it were due to my own shortcomings and flaws.
