Julianna-
I dont think this is so much about boycotting Ford (wouldnt own one though…pieces of garabage, IMHO:D ) but what this group (Catholics for free choice) stands for that is the issue(s)
Ford… “Fix or Repair Daily”.

They aren’t too bad, in terms of cars, though. I prefer Honda. They last forever!

Hooray for derailing!

LOL!
Yeah most american cars are junk…I do prefer my european model over anything american made…

Now back to the topic:D

Fine.

Have you seen this?

The thing that strikes me as hilarious is that, though there would be a couple of legitimate ways to complain about CA (legitimate does not mean convincing; I love Catholic Answers), CFFC don’t use a single one!

It’s all ad hominem.

You can read this for a good laugh sometime.

I just resent them calling themselves Catholics…they are not. If they want to be pro murder of babies…let them call themselves by another name.
They won’t.

They’re enslaved to the mirror - their egos won’t allow them to be honest about this. So they just keep lying by saying they’re really Catholic, when they’re really wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Michael,

Do you think there is any mileage in bombarding “Catholicsforchoice” with emails protesting at the scandle they are causing to the Church?
This assumes they are rational and will listen to anything other than the mirror…

No, it doesn’t get any new money. It’s an endowment which means it’s a body of principal and the interest is used by the Foundation each year.

So yeah, if your grandpa bought a Model T, he helped fund Catholics for a Free Choice (though a whole bunch of other programs too. Some good some not so good). On the other hand, if you bought a Ford SUV, you wouldn’t be funding it.
So tell me this:

Who is on the board of directors of this organization?

And what companies do they work for?

Who writes the checks from this foundation?

What companies do they work for?

Follow the money…

THe link that was posted did not have anything to do with the group promoting abortion. Rather they seem to be calling for a lifting on the ban on condoms and adopting policies that reduce the need for abortions, rather than prohibiting them.

I don’t know anything about the group other than what was on the webpage of the link provided.

Please read the above quote and stop saying they are “misguided” as if they are victims. Maybe we could substitute the word misguided with diabolical.
Kissling says she has never been excommunicated and that she’s a Catholic in good stainding. How does one find out if someone has been excommunicated?

Also, I don’t believe it is correct that the Ford foudation doesn’t continue to contribute money. (as another poster suggested)

crisismagazine.com/april2002/feature1.htm

The article also says American Catholics are split 50-50 on the issue of abortion, although far fewer support an “abortion for any reason” mentality.

“There are three kinds of lies; lies, damn lies, and statistics.” - Mark Twain

It is funny that almost all of Catholics for Free Choice defense is statistics.

And statistics stated in a meaningless way (without error, deviation, type, or citation).

Wow, good find! Yes, it is amusing…

Unfortunatley a lot of Catholic Democrats in these forums make the exact same arguments Kissling does as to why its OK to vote for pro-abortion canidates.

Catholics who support abortion, who support wanton birth control, support the consequences of sin.

They are like I once was, when I started on this forum; with their mind made up.

And behind the facade of the strong position, of the poisonous arguments, of the anger, the rage, at the ancient Church, is someone like me, aching, confused, dimly hoping. Lost and in need desperately of prayer.

There’s always hope! This forum lead me back to the Church and all its teachings. Pray, pray, pray!

:blessyou:

This was on a pro catholic website which gave the stat. However, if you are a person who never quotes polls or stats to support their position, then I understand where you are coming from.

Statistics aren’t always bad, if there is more to rely upon.

For Catholics For a Free Choice, there is little else upon which to rely.

That is all I was trying to say (that, and I don’t trust statistics, from any side).

I have been getting emails for sometime from some group called the (AFA) I believe. They are a pro family, Christians group that tracks busniesses that are supporting unchristian agenda’s. They are constantly writing me saying that Ford Motor Company is supporting the homosexual agenda. I guess thay advertise in a homosexual magazine and are a member of the homosexual chamber of commerace? Ironically Ford has been hurting financially big time as of late. I have always been a Ford man and had good luck with their vehicles, but will no longer support the company. Now that I know the Ford foundation is undermining the Catholic Church I really won’t buy another vehicle from them. Walmart was going down the same path and the (AFA) and others rallied enough people to not shop in Walmart the day after Thanksgiving. Sales were down 10% and the next day Walmart stopped supporting the homosexual agenda. Money does talk. 👍

What can be done? How about leaving the judging to God.
The answer is not enough as we all know that it is for God to judge; however, as a children of God, we should pray wholeheartedly for them, and and live a life as a good Catholic.
