Makes me sad.
I’ll never understand this justification. So what if 90% of Catholics actually did disagree with the Church. (Which isn’t true, but for arguments sake, I’ll go along) What on earth does that matter? In the fourth century, the
Great Majority disagreed with the “dictate” from the Church that Jesus was God. But the
Great Majority ended up wrong, and the truth won out in the end. :bigyikes:
But this really is a bold claim for them to make. The great majority of the faithful of the
ENTIRE Catholic Church disagrees with the Church’s teaching? Really? That’s convenient. That means not just in the USA, but in every country throughout the world the great majority is dissenting?? Ok sure.

How about in Africa or Asia where the faith is blooming and the people there love the Church and her teaching?
Or how about my generation? The twenty somethings. There’s actually quite a lot of us who absolutely disagree with Catholics For Choice, but of course, CFC just conveniently ignores us. We love the Church! We don’t want the Church to conform to us. We shockingly believe that when Jesus told the apostles, “He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me.”(Lk 10:16) He actually meant it. And we want to follow Him.
