:eek:I usually just read and seldom post, but way back there at post #142 is where the wax blew out of my ears. Still reeling from this one. How is it that one looks for answers but does not want to be enlightened? Okay. So then, I guess I don’t know the difference. And I suspect that Mosacked doesn’t either.

That is not what Scripture says.

Luke*1:31: “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”

If Mary were nothing more than a mere vessel or surrogate, why would Gabriel say “conceive”? Why not simply “you will bear a son”?

Why do you think that Mary needs to be divine to be the Mother of God?

WRONG!!!

She is Christ’s mother: She is NOT a surrogate.

Do you even know what a surrogate is? Its when a man and woman implant their fertalized egg in a third person to grow. That is not the case here. God is the Father and Mary is the mother.

Mary is Jesus’s mother + Jesus is God = Mary is the mother of God

By your logic then, the woman who carried you for nine months is NOT your mother. She is a SURROGATE and merely a VESSEL. Am I right?

Sorry to say, yes. When you try to discuss a subject with one such as mosacked, you sometimes have to stoop to his level to try to answer and make him understand, for there is no other way.

Javl…You do not have to do any thing to get to his level he is a member of a -c u l t - and you can not get that low,Happy a good Christmax and may Out Lord bless you and yours

Maybe I’m just missing it and I ask you to please forgive me if I falsely accuse you of anything, but how can you accuse him of being part of a cult?
I did not see any post of him saying that he was… but maybe I just missed it.

Oh, I did not realize that. To be honest, I am not quite familiar with the JW teachings and I wouldn’t be able to point familiarities out.

Yes, Bill, he is. But we should try our best to wean him away from heresy and such blasphemous statements. We should pray the Lord forgive him and to open his eyes to the truth.

What makes you even think he WANTS to understand anything? I just can’t believe people are still here trying to reason with a brick wall.

That doesn’t make any sense at all. If Jesus had a true human nature, and was born like all humans then he had a mother. We don’t believe in the divinity of Mary either, but she gave birth to Jeusus, and Jesus was and is God therefore Mary is the mother of Jesus who is God. It’s not brain surgery.🙂

Everyone, please read this.

Mosacked basically holds that the Holy Spirit put a created Jesus into Mary’s womb in the same way that God created Adam in the Gardan, sans the mud. Mary was needed to allow the Word made Flesh a place to develop and a person to help raise him, but that was all. She is of no importance in Jesus’s life, according to this line of thought.

Now, Greg pointed out how we see it. He was Divine as his Father was Divine and He is the Second Person, but he was Human because his Mother was Human. Greg mentioned that Maey gave birth to Jesus and Jesus is Divine. Mosacked does not deny either of those. What he denies is that Mary had anything to do with Jesus being conceived or becoming Human.
