Catholics in numbers

I am absolutely sure that I am indeed a Catholic. However, to be a Catholic, one does not need to blindly agree with other Catholics when their points are flawed. The Catholic Church is the True Church, established by Christ. However, whether there are one billion Catholics, or just one it does not mean the religion is false. Jesus said ‘‘where one or two are gathered in my name’’ He didn’t say we had to gather in the millions.

Out of curiosity, why is it that you doubt my faith? Because I agreed with the Pagan and the Agnostic? Heaven forbid I should find there point more intelligent than your own. I disagree with them on points of faith, I agree with them on logical thought.

Yes thanks to the conquistas. Native americans and filipinos being forced into conversion. If the protestants had done the same, the figures would have been reversed.

For what reason Agnos? For the spread of Gospel? I don’t think so. For economic/political/military reason, yes indeed. Religion was used to make things easier to deal with. Again, this is another example of misusing religion for the humanly agenda. No conquista is holy, no war is holy.

Because Catholics stick with one another, they don’t bash each other. Furthermore I wouldn’t agree with a pagan or an agnostic b/c they don’t know if they are coming or going.

In all seriousness righteousone, I was not ‘‘bashing’’ you, I was disagreeing with you. You said numbers mean truth. I disagreed. In the beginning of Christianity there were VERY few of us. It was just as true then as it is now. If all the Christians on Earth were to die, Christianity would STILL be the truth. You seem to be taking this as a personal attack. It isn’t so calm down.

I am not talking about the beginning of Christianity…I am talking about the year 2008!! You simply do not know. There are over a Billion CATHOLICS. I am not taking anything as a personal attack, I am just surprised that your Catholicism is so narrow.

Yes and there are over Billion MUSLIMS and nearly a billion HINDUS. But we all know only one is the Truth. The point is, numbers mean nothing. Now please, don’t presume to know me or the depth of my faith.

If numbers meant nothing, there would certainly be a problem if there were 1 Billion Muslim and 1 Christian. We’d have a serious problem…come on LDN, you seem intelligent enough.
