Praise the Lord! I was brought up in a very religious evangelical family and I brought my 6 kids up the same. After retiring I did a lot of reading on the internet about the early church fathers. The result being that I became convinced that the catholic church is the church that Jesus founded. I started going to mass every Sunday at Easter 2006. Went to RCIA classes and became catholic Easter Vigil 2007. I am so happy being a catholic. Recieving communion brings me so much strength . My story is much longer but I am satisfied and fulfilled now I am in His church.I raised my family as protestants, although not rabidly and certainly not anti-Catholic. I converted to the Catholic Church when I was 58 years old and so far I am alone in my decision. My wife goes to another “denom” and I go to Mass alone but not lonesome. I would no more go back to my old beliefs than I would move to Saudi Arabia. I will defend my decision to any in the family who want to bring up the subject but most rarely do and I mostly leave it alone. I made my mind up after a lot of reading and searching so I don’t expect that my feeble apologetics will convert anyone else.![]()
God Bless you and all that have found the fullness of the truth.
