Kind all evenings! In advance I ask me to forgive for possible errors, unfortunately, I badly know English language. If you will not complicate, tell please where in Russia it is possible to meet Catholic churches, monasteries or communities? Search on the Internet, unfortunately, has given nothing. The matter is that I very much am interested in Catholicism, but in Russia it is creed practically is not developed.

In advance thanks for answers!

Are you interested in Latin (Rimski) or Greek (Greko) Catholic communities?

Which religous backgound are you from? The Orthodox church is widely spread throughout russia, have you checked out any of these parishes?

Here in Moscow there are two Catholic Churches that I know of, Immaculate Conception Church at 27 Ul. Malaya Gruzinskaya, and St. Louis Church at 12A Malaya Lubyanka. Since these church serve both Russian and foreign Catholics, they have Masses in Russian and many other languages including Latin. The English language newspaper advertises the Spanish and Portuguese community, the French community, and the English-speaking community. I also know that Mass is offered in Polish and Korean. My husband and I attend a Latin Novus Ordo Mass with the readings and sermon in Russian at Immaculate Conception Church. St. Louis Church has a web-site: www.Stlouis.ru. Immaculate Conception may have one too, but I am not sure. Mary Mother of God Mission Society works in Vadivostok as well as other places in the Russian far east. They can be contacted a www.vladmission.org. I know that there are Catholic Churches in St.Petersburg, but I don’t have any information on them. I hope that this helps.

I use this sight to find Mass times in America. I clicked on the Russian sight for you.

I think that you should call the parish first if they have their telephone number listed. If you call they will give you more information about the time of the Mass. Usually the sights are right but it is best to call.

Translated by google

There are two fascinating books by Fr. Walter Ciszek concerning this:
*
With God in Russia*
He Leadeth Me

Fr. Walter Ciszek, SJ was a Polish-Pennsylvanian-American who did undercover missionary work in the Ural mountains during WWII before being captured and spending time in the Russian gulag.

Many thanks for the given information. Unfortunately, I cannot find till now Catholic church or a community which are near to my city. Moscow, St.-Petersburg and the Far East are too far from my city on Volga. I think that I only need to study a Catholicism on the Internet, including by means of your forum. I hope, you will be not against if I ask too simple questions?) also forgive me for bad knowledge of English language?)

Это не проблема. Cпросить, пажалуиста. Его по-англиский лучше миня по-русский.

also, vatican.va is the vatican website. Lots of resources, some even in russian.
vatican.va/archive/compendium_ccc/documents/archive_compendium-ccc_ru.pdf is the compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in Russian, as a download in PDF.

Hi, this is a good site with a lot of Catholic-Orthodox topics, if you are interested in them, the topics are on the right side:
Catholic Orthodox relations
There’s also a Bulgarian version, if you can read in Bulgarian, it is very close to Russian and might be easier for you:
КАМЪКЪТ
The work on the BG version is going on a bit slowly, but we hope this will help you.

Blessings!!
