Catholics regard Muhammad as a prophet??

Saint Paul said
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven**, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.

Mohammed said** an angel appeared to him**, I believe it was one of the fallen angels if he ever did see one, or probably satan himself. The Angel Gabriel in-fact, which flies in the face of what St Paul warned about.

So he preached a differrent gospel, so therefore Mohammed is was a false prophet, by Pauls reckoning.

Jesus was not a mere man, He was God made man, Mohammed was just a mere man.

Emmanuel means God is with us, so Jesus and the Father are one, Jesus said so.

**hawkeye, thanks for your lecture and your effort to help me. I do not trust Saul of Tarsus. Please do not make your own beliefs as per your wishes. That would be sinful. Muhammad was a mere man, a slave of God. You say Jesus was god. I ask you, who told you that Jesus was god?

Please explain and give the name of the person who told you that Jesus was god or is god. Thanks. The other all christians have failed to give the properly reply.**

I come over to this discussion thread just to read the postings, and here I find you making postings about the same question you tried to change the discussion to when you refused to answer my questions.

Planten, why don’t you just answer my questions like in a normal conversation?

To anybody else who is reading on this forum, I suggest that you do not answer Planten’s questions about “Who told you that Jesus was God?”, because he still has yet to answer my question in the Islam, Round 3 forum.

Planten, I challenge you here before this entire message board to respond to the answers and questions I raised earlier about the Angel Gabriel appearing to Mohammed at Mt. Hira as articulated in Bukhari Volume I, Book I, Tradition Number 6 (please see the posting in the Islam, Round 3 Forum).

I challenge you to a real debate about this topic.

I’m confident in my Christian faith to debate you. Are you confident in your Islam enough to accept my challenge, or will you refuse to debate because you cannot substantiate your arguments?

Will you accept to continue the previous debate? Yes or no?

c659smith, thank you for not naming any one. Thank you for trying to reply.

The very first post was good that some sensible people (christians and Muslims) got
together and decided that:

1. Jesus is a Messiah, or he is The Messiah.
2. That Muhammad is the prophet of God.

I liked that. That is the topic. When discussion turned to denial of the prophethood of Muhammad because he said that he was a prophet of God, I had to ask the catholics about who told them that Jesus was God.

Because if Muhammad (who told us that Jesus is the Messiah) is not a prophet of God then for all of us Muslims, Jesus would not be the Messiah. ( The end of the affair). good riddence of Muhammad and Jesus, both

St. Francis of Assisi: “We have come to preach faith in Jesus Christ to you, that you will renounce Mohammad, that wicked slave of the devil, and obtain everlasting life like us.”

So according to you my answers are irrelevant because I have been here for 3 months? I have been Christian my whole life so know what is in the Bible. When have you ever heard a heart rendering story of conversion to Islam? I haven’t. Only the real God can impact your life like that not a false Prophet. Read this site bibleprobe.com/islamapostates.htm for a few. Also, I have also come across Islamists like you on other boards so am used to answering the same questions there! There are only a few questions that muslims ask - it is like you read an islamic board on what questions to ask in order to prove islam is a true religion which will never work. Perhaps start questioning your religion and reading a BIble and coming up with YOUR OWN questions.

They are not false words. It is the word of God. God wrote to the Bible and he does not have multiple personalities so perhaps you should accept that. How would he change his mind of the sins he condemned in the Bible? He wouldn’t. Allah is NOT God.

St Francis of Assisi made that comment to the Sultan when he marched into a Muslim camp in Egypt after the Muslims killed about five thousand Christians in Damietta. Taken aback from his boldness, the Sultan’s henchmen nearly beheaded him after having him tortured and beaten, but the Sultan eventually let him go because of his bold faith and testimony. There were rumours that Sultan al-Malik converted to Christianity on his deathbed. Besides, Catholics - laymen, priests or monks have the liberty to form their own opinions of any religion outside Christianity.

There were no witnesses to mohammed being made a prophet by God however there were witnesses to everything Jesus said and did. So, apart from mohammed’s own words there is no proof whatsoever. David Koresh claimed to be a prophet as did many other cult leaders (also no witnesses and no proof). Just because mohammed has fooled millions more does not make him a prohet does it.
