I really do not follow your logic; I see the whole chapter as being about Baptism. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

There is no mention at all of baptism in the first 21 verses, and this is the only part of the chapter where Jesus is speaking. He didn’t baptise anyone in that situation. He left there with the apostles and baptised people somewhere else.

Being born of water and Spirit is typically understood to refer to Baptism.

I know that, this is what is taken out of the context. But, Jesus said a lot more in those 21 verses that lend no support to that. It seems that no one who is catholic reads the scriptures with the idea that they are meaningful.

Catholics are really very cold to the scriptures. Why is that?
 
We reject absolutely nothing written in the scriptures. The bible is our book. The bible came out of the Church, not the church out of the bible. It was written by Catholics for Catholics. Our understanding of scripture is not always the same as the protestant understanding. Our interpretation of the scriptures is ancient, and still valid. We have been studying it for many centuries longer than our detractors and we know what it means. Our ancient faith is built upon the scriptures, and the Tradition the scriptures came from. What do you mean it’s taken out of context? I disagree, but I’m not sure what you mean.

So Jesus said more that may not apply to baptism. So what? That doesn’t mean parts of it do apply.

I don’t know where you get your perception of Catholics but it’s not true. Sure some Catholics (just like some other Christians, some people, some…any classification you want) may not consider the Scriptures meaningful, but the Catholic Church certainly does.

And no, absolutely not, Catholics are NOT cold to Scriptures. Our liturgies are full of Scripture readings and references.
 
Clearly you do not understand what Catholics believe. Maybe you should read Scott Hahn’s book Rome Sweet Home. He is a convert who was very much against Catholics before he tried to prove that we were not the true religion. Thank God I am Catholic and yes I do read the bible as much as I can. I am involved in 2 bible studies. John Chapter 3 definately and clearly refers to baptism among other things. Let’s not argue about this.

This is just another example of how you stonewall.

Do you know why you stonewall discussions about the scriptures? And please do not answer my question with another question, there has been enough of that kind or rudeness in this thread.

Please accept my apology, it was never my intention to stone wall you.

I am a simple man not well educated.

Yes i do feel very ashamed, if you ask my help i should give it.

As you get no help here and i dont really know much,
pray to My Father He knows all and sees all.

Be patient, if you ask him for an egg He will give you all the eggs He you need.

Again sorry for stone walling you.

Please hold not my doings against Him or His but only against me.

May you and My Father forgive me for any of my errors.

I am grateful to know that at least one person knows, the meaning of the scripture.
 
Why are yous so upset?

My Father needs none of us to defend Him.

Why embrace and feed what divides you.

If you love My Brother Yeshua (pbwh) you will keep his commandments, that is to love each other.

My Fathers definition of love is entirely about giving,

seems to me each person is intent on defending their understanding rather than giving to find out where the other is.

Mohammed was wrong.

I’m not really interested in where he is.

It is clear that his followers treat women like property and Jews like dogs.
